BarnDoor's mix of original, classic and current continues to prove itself to be the best theatre-bet in town.
MY OLD LADY
a comedy by Israel Horovitz
October 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25 2015
A remarkable, moving -- yet funny -- play by a remarkable playwright. "This is a wise play," was an opening night comment. A striking set and technical effects and solid performances from its three-person cast, in two languages!, and an award for
best performance in a supporting role by a stuffed pig
made the show memorable.

A LIFE IN THE THEATRE
A comedy by David Mamet
Feb. 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 2016
Two actors work through a season of plays at a regional theatre, most of seen from backstage, "behind the scenes". It turns your ideas of theatre, and actors, and maybe even yourself, around.
It's also very funny.
Do you see where we were going with this season?
David Bird -- Robert
Chris Angel -- John
Under Milk Wood
A play for voices by Dylan ThomasApril 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24 2016
Dylan Thomas' "play for voices" is arguably the culmination of his life's work. It is undoubtedly a masterpiece. Poetic, comic, tragic, ironic, musical and so much more.
One spring day in Llareggub became something remarkable under Janice Jacklin's skilled direction.
"This is magic!" was one comment.

THE LAST DEADMAN
a drama with music byDavid Jacklin
June 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19 2016
Based on Canada's last fatal duel, whick took place in Perth in 1833, the show features a cast of people in their teens and early twenties -- because the duel itself did. An emotional roller-coaster, going from fun to scary to dramatic to intense, it's a multi-media trip through the mind of the duel's survivor -- who later became one of the shapers of Canada.

THE GREAT PERTH
TEMPERANCE SOIREE
by Janet Coward
with dramaturgy and musical arrangements
by David Jacklin
July 8, 9, 10 2016
Taken word for word from the pages of the Perth Courier, going back to issue No. 1 in 1834, this was a genuinely funny, highly informative, fast and engrossing look at the rise and fall of the Temperance movement. It was also a most musical evening, with wonderful harmony from a cast of powerful voices.

GHOST STORIES
The Legend of Oliver's Landing
a musical chiller by David Jacklin
August 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21 2016
In the early days of the European settlement of this region, John Oliver and his wife ran a ferry across Big Rideau Lake at a place people called, naturally, Oliver’s Landing. To accommodate the occasional late traveller, they turned their cabin into a little inn and acquired the region’s first liquor license. They did very well with this – you might say, they made a killing at it.
Ghost Stories is a scary, dark, soaringly musical, surprisingly romantic and genuinely funny show about nefarious doings in our community's past. And it is as thoroughly entertaining now as it was on its debut in 1984.
A very special production for us, representing, as it does, 32 years of our theatre history in this community.

By the end of a long season, we found that we have hosted 135 income-generating events at Full Circle Theatre from Labour Day 2015 to Labour Day 2016. Down a few from last season because we ended up presenting only one weekend of The Great Perth Temperance Soiree, instead of three. But the fact is that our audiences are building, slowly, and that 2015-2016 was our most successful season, artistically and financially, in several years.
