On November 16, 2012, David and Janice Jacklin, individually, received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, an award presented to individuals throughout the Commonwealth for their service to their communities and, as stated in the medal's citation, "in recognition of your contributions to Canada".
The honour acknowledges thirty years of work in the performing arts in Lanark County and Perth in particular. The Jacklins have produced or presented nearly 150 theatrical productions in the region since the early 1980s, have been founding members of most of the performing arts groups in the community and have built or been central to the creation of two of the community's three performing arts spaces. Their work has contributed (based on figures from the Canadian Conference for the Arts) more than $6 million to the economy of the community.
